Height of proposed new tower 200 ft.

The Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area is located in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey along 40 miles of the Delaware River.  Designated "Wild and Scenic," the Delaware is the last major un-dammed river in the United States.

The national park takes its name from a significant topographic feature - a 1400 foot deep gorge cut through a mountain ridge over geologic time by the flowing river.  The Delaware's exceptional water quality provides a superb resource for boating, swimming and fishing.  The park offers excellent hiking opportunities, including 25 miles of the Appalachian Trail.  A haven for visitors, 70,000 acres of varied landscape and mixed deciduous forests are home to a wide variety of plant and animal species.  It is only 65 miles west of New York City.

Certainly a place worth preserving, it receives over 5 million visitors a year.
